Hi Fix cationic bitumen emulsion RSI

Hi Fix® emulsion RS product manufactured out .of bitumen dispersed into the water in the form of fine globules (micron size) by means of an emulsifying agent. The later acts to decrease interfacial stress between the bitumen and water thus preventing their breakage during normal conditions of storage. This type of emulsion carry positive charges and is very much suitable for negatively charged aggregates exclusively and abundantly available in our country. These positively charged emulsion after getting in touch with the negatively charged aggregates deposes bitumen particles on the aggregates while water gets evaporated. This emulsion with –low viscosity and fast setting -time is an ideal product for spray application. Hi Fixe emulsion RS 1 is manufactured strictly as per IS: 8887:2004 and ASTMD : 2397 and quality consciousness is maintained at all levels of manufacture.

APPLICATIONS & USES:

Hi Fix® RS1 is ideally suited for tack coat application, single coat surface dressing. It is used for surface dressing (single/ two coat) Tack coat with Hi-Fik Emulsion can be applied on bituminous surface, aged bituminous surface, primed bituminous surfaces and non bituminous surfaces.

DO'S

• Roll emulsion drum to and fro 5-6 times before use

• Use emulsion at temperatures above 5 degree c.

• PH controlled water may be added to the emulsion: 1. if required, for better control on spraying and penetration, entire quantity of-thus diluted emulsion must be used immediately for prime coat operation only.

• Better roads mean better India.

DON'TS

• Emulsion should be stored in open container/ tank

• Do not mix different type of emulsion together

• Do not fill loose earth in potholes before spraying emulsion

• Do not spray emulsion on a dusty surface.

PACKING

It is available in 200 liters capacity MS sealed drums which are very much reusable. The material may also be arranged for supply in specified packing by the customers subject to cost variations.

STORAGE

It must be stored in properly sealed drums under a Cover, no matter whether it is a tarpaulin cover for storage place is recommended from 5 to 85 degree c.
